How to use this website

This topic will give you guidance about how best to use this website.


The menu at the top of the screen shows the sections of the website. When you click on one of these sections the relevant page will load.

The current page is highlighted in blue to show you where you are. You can use the back button on your browser to return to the page you last visited. You can click on the Penguin Academy logo at the top of every page to return to the home page.


All the games on the Penguin Academy site are made using Adobe Flash. To play the games file you will need Adobe Flash Player which can be downloaded for free from For help playing the games see the help topic ‘How to play games’.

Browser compatibility

The Penguin Academy website is fully compatible with the following browser versions; Internet Explorer and Firefox

We have worked hard to achieve a high level of cross browser compatibility and on the majority of other browsers and versions, our content should be legible and online forms will also be functional. If you experience any problems, you may choose to update your browser to the latest version via the appropriate suppliers website.

How to play games

Fish Feast

Penguins eat fish and crustaceans such as krill. In the wild, an emperor penguin would need to eat 2-3kg of fish a day to survive.

To move your penguin simply click the mouse on the screen in the direction you want your penguin to swim!

The map in the bottom left of the screen will show you where the rest of the food is. Help your penguin by catching enough fish – but make sure you eat enough before your time runs out.

The timer in the top right will gradually count down. See how many fish you can catch in 60 seconds using your finger to guide your penguin.

Polar Parade

Penguins follow each other to find a safe route to their breeding grounds. Help your fellow penguins by gathering them all together – but make sure you find a safe route through the ice.

To move your penguin simply click the mouse on the screen in the direction you want your penguin to walk!

The map in the bottom left of the screen will show you where the other penguins are.

The timer in the top right will gradually count down.

See how many you can help in 90 seconds using your finger to guide your penguin.


Male and female penguins take it in turns to feed their young. Lead your penguin along the safest route to find your chick and feed it.

To move your penguin simply click the mouse on the screen in the direction you want your penguin to walk!

The map in the bottom left of the screen will show you the layout of the maze.

The timer in the top right will gradually count down. See if you can navigate the maze of ice in 60 seconds to feed your baby chick.

Hot Hatch’r

Male and female penguins take turns keeping their eggs warm until they hatch. Teach your penguin how to incubate eggs by keeping all these eggs warm – but don’t let any get too cold or they’ll freeze!

To move your penguin simply click the mouse on the screen in the direction you want your penguin to walk!

The map in the bottom left of the screen will show you where the other eggs are.

The timer in the top right will gradually count down.

Orca Attack

Penguins have many predators, like seals whales and predatory birds. Help your penguin swim away from this Orca Whale by tapping the left and right arrows as fast as you can.

The map in the bottom left of the screen will show you where the Orca is.

The timer in the top right will gradually count down. Try and keep away from the Orca for 30 seconds!

What are the Terms and Conditions?

4.1 When you register to use the Company Site you will be asked to create a password. 7 Availability of the Company Site

8.3 The suspension or cancellation of your registration and your right to use the Company Site shall not affect either party’s statutory rights or liabilities.

9 The Company’s liability

9.1 The Company Site provides content from other Internet sites or resources and while the Company tries to ensure that material included on the Company Site is correct, reputable and of high quality, it does not make any warranties or guarantees in relation to that content. If the Company is informed of any inaccuracies in the material on the Site we will attempt to correct the inaccuracies as soon as we reasonably can.

9.2 If we are in breach of these Terms & Conditions, we will only be responsible for any losses that you suffer as a result to the extent that they are a foreseeable consequence to both of us at the time you use the Company Site. 11.1 Part of the Company Site may contain advertising and sponsorship. Advertisers and sponsors are responsible for ensuring that material submitted for inclusion on the Company Site complies with relevant laws and codes. We will not be responsible to you for any error or inaccuracy in advertising and sponsorship material.

12.1 These Terms and Conditions will be subject to the laws of England and Wales. We will try to solve any disagreements quickly and efficiently. If you are not happy with the way we deal with any disagreement and you want to take court proceedings, you must do so within the United Kingdom.

13.1 We make no promise that materials on the Company Site are appropriate or available for use in locations outside the United Kingdom, and accessing the Company Site from territories where its contents are illegal or unlawful is prohibited. If you choose to access this site from locations outside the United Kingdom, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
